I've had it a few days and already used to change light bulbs, pick up things between washer and dryer, and picked up black walnuts dropped from tree.

I found that my in-laws, who are elderly, have a hard time working with it. They couldn't seem to hold the blue button while trying to straighten the grabber into it's extended position. I bought two of them, and neither of the lights work. The grabber, in it's extended position, is still not 'locked' into place completely. It works, but not as good as it could work.

Useful tool

Comments about Grab It:

I just received it so I haven't used it very much. I does grab, hold the item and release. The problem I had at first was getting the 2 little buttons on the side to compress so I could open it. It finally opened...how I don't know. There is not any play in the buttons. I almost returned it. I will not fold it up. That is the only reason I gave it a 4.

Nifty Item

Cons

  • Not usable for disabled persons w/ weak grip.

Best Uses

    Comments about Grab It:

I was a little bit disappointed because it's a great item but not really user friendly for me. I have a weak grip due to having Muscular Dystrophy so I can't use it. The video made it look easy to squeeze but unfortunately not for me. Also took almost 2 weeks to get the Grab It and then the light switch was left on and the batteries were dead. The battery tab was sticking but apparently didn't work.

    Nope--wouldn't buy this thing again!

    By Carol

    Comments about Grab It:

I bought two of these-one for me and one for my in-laws. Both of them don't work after about one day! The grabber 'hinge', the place where it folds, doesn't work and so now I'm left with two grabbers that stay folded and thus can't grab a darned thing!

    It's OK

    Comments about Grab It:

Does not lock open. Pretty floppy. But it gets the job done. I have two crushed disks in my back and it save me bending.

I would not buy this item again.

    By Rainy

    Comments about Grab It:

Bought it to help after a surgery. Makes my hand tired as I don't like the fact you have to hit a button to release. Didn't pick up items off the floor because it doesn't close completely. Heavy. Awkward to use. Threw away box or I would return it.

    Cheap

    By None

    from Cincinnati, OH

    Comments about Grab It:

The fold broke the first time it was opened right out of the box. Now it only works for lightweight things and doesn't really stay open. My daughter has the second one, it appears to be working ok.
